BREAK ME AND MAKE CHANGE
Guadalupe De Anna Hill
(Used by permission of the author: www.divinelightinspirations.com)

Have you ever heard the saying that old habits are hard to break? That means that change is hard to do. Change defined means "to alter, to transform, to witch, or to transfer." The definition that stuck out the most to me was to break, meaning to shift to a lower register as in to "Make Change."

My oldest daughter is in the 3rd grade and she has learned how to count money. She is amazed at how many ways you can make a dollar out of change. 2 half dollars=$1.00, 4 quarters=$1.00, 10 dimes=$1.00, 20 nickels=$1.00 and 100 pennies =$1.00. No matter which amount you have, it all equals a dollar.

In order to "Make Change" out of a dollar, it has to be broken. When you allow God to make change in your life, things you have have to be broken. You may end up having a lot of fragmented pieces once He starts breaking things down in your life, but it's okay. You may end up 4 quarters or even 100 pennies, but once he adds all the change up you end up being whole again.

Psalm 147:3--He heals the broken hearted and binds up their wounds [curing their pains and their sorrows].

Familiarity is often hard to walk away from but it breeds complacency and
stagnation. While on the other hand, change is altering, modifying or doing away with a routine or habit. Change is a breaking point in our lives where we have to step out of the ordinary to step into the extraordinary. Change is a sacrifice of things to become broken to be made whole.

Allow God to make change in your life because a path in a circle eventually takes you back to where you started, so you end up going nowhere. You end up in a cycle that seems to keep repeating itself over and over again. The same bad choices with the same results. The same mountain. The same test that you have taken so many times that you end up memorizing the questions. If this applies to you, you need God to break you and "Make Change."

Psalm 51:8,10, 17--8 Make me to hear joy and gladness and be satisfied; let the bones which You have broken rejoice.

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right, persevering, and
steadfast spirit within me.

17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart,
O God, thou wilt not despise.

GREAT FOR CHRISTMAS GIFTS!
Hundreds of people have requested and downloaded the Cross Graphic which is featured on the www.timothyreport.com website. (If you haven’t seen it, go to the website, find the Cross Graphic link on the left side of the page near the top.) Anyway, many have written and requested a T-shirt—and now you can get them! Professionally designed in color, these shirts are sure to grab attention and draw comments. From a distance it will look like a cross (of course), but when people get closer, they see there are words on it, and they can’t help but look! A great way to share your faith in Christ!!!

They’re great for Christmas gifts (but you need to order quickly!), for yourself as a wonderful way to share your faith, or even as a fund-raiser for your youth group! You can see what the shirt looks like and find out all the details by clicking on the link at the top of the home page of the website.

PURITY
In the Word of God, gold at its height, at its premium was when it was beaten into shape by the craftsmanship of Bezaleel and Aholiab. They were the makers of the Ark of the Covenant. Beaten gold is far superior to molded gold. The reason: For gold to be molded and melted in ancient times it had to mixed with lesser metals. The flames created by wood could not reach a high enough temperature to mold and melt the gold which led to lesser metals being introduced. A lesser metal than gold will melt at a lower temperature because of the mixture but it drastically lowers it’s value. It was beaten gold that formed an Ark but it was molten gold that formed a golden calf.

The choice is clearly mine. I can add all sorts of alloys to my calling, to my purpose in the Kingdom, to the anointing that rests on my life, but in the process I rob the power and ability of God to work with a pure vessel.

SACRED MOMENTS
The sacred moments, the moments of miracle, are often the everyday moments, the moments which, if we do not look with more than our eyes or listen with more than our ears reveal only. . .a gardener, a stranger coming down the road behind us, a meal like any other meal. But if we look with our hearts, if we listen with all our being and imagination . . . what we may see is Jesus himself.

THE RESPONSIBILITY OF PRAYER
I once heard someone say, "My prayer doesn't count much. I'm only one person." I said, "Do you know anyone who is 'two'?" "I'm only one person" is the one excuse no citizen of planet Earth can use to get out of anything, since we are all 'ones' and no one is two, with the possible exception of those "Siamese" we encounter on television occasionally, and even they seem to go out of their way to assure us that while they share some of the same body parts, they are two ones, and not a two. Therefore, all of us 'ones' may go ahead with the privilege and responsibility of prayer.

There are people counting on my prayers today. God help me not to let them down.

TWO STEPS FORWARD
The Duke of Wellington had planned an operation to take a dangerous hill. That famous general knew that when he gave the command for his men to charge, very few would come back alive. Even his stout military heart wavered at the thought. He told his regiments, "I will turn about, and every man that is willing at daybreak to make the charge on that hill, let him take two paces forward."

The general turned and waited. In a few moments an officer asked him to turn again. A look of disappointment momentarily crossed his face, for there was not a break in the lines. Yes, a look of disappointment momentarily-until the officer explained, "Every man has taken two paces forward!"

OH, LORD, ANYTHING BUT THAT
What 'one thing', what person, what position, what passion immediately comes to mind when you hear this question? "What one thing would you say to God…Oh Lord, I will give you anything, I will do anything for you, I will go anywhere, I will give away anything... but that?"  The answer to that question is the 'one thing' you need to give to the Lord, more than anything else. Often, when we surrender such a deep sense of ownership to the Lord, He in his loving grace will allow us to have that 'one thing' again, with the caution to remember we are only stewards of that 'one thing.' Oftentimes, He, in his wisdom, does not allow us to have that 'one thing' back. It is a step of submission and obedience; and a risk that is vitally important for the sake of our spiritual growth. God said. "You shall have no other gods before me." Ex 20:3

FAITHFULNESS
Not everyone possesses boundless energy or a conspicuous talent. We are not equally blessed with great intellect or physical beauty or emotional strength. But we have all been given the same ability to be faithful.

OH, FATHER, I’VE FAILED!
When we take a tumble and cry out to God in our shame and distress, the psalmist says He "inclines His ear" to us. He bends over to listen. We say, "Oh, Father, I've failed! I've failed terribly. Look at what I've done!" And then He puts His arms around us, just as a loving earthly father would do. He then says, "I accept you just as you are. I acknowledge that what you have done was wrong, as you've confessed it to Me. Now, My son, My daughter, let's move on.
